Ewa Zofia Budnik
Apr 13, 2018Francis Hospital. Born in Starogard Gdanski, Poland on March 29, 1953, daughter of the late Roman and Zofia (Preising) Zadurski, she had lived in Poland before immigrating to the United States in 1987. Ewa lived in Hartford for a brief time before moving to East Hartford where she had lived for the last 30 years. A loving wife, mother, and grandmother, Ewa's life revolved around caring for her family. She was always kind and selfless putting the needs of her family before her own. She enjoyed cooking and baking for family holidays and get togethers and always looked forward to having everyone together. She was a parishioner of SS. Cyril & Methodius Church in Hartford where she served on Ladies Guild for many years. In her spare time, she also volunteered as a scout leader and as the treasurer of Polish Scouting - ZHP in Hartford. After staying home for many years to raise her children, Ewa returned to school at Goodwin College and graduated with an Associates Degree in Accounting. She worked in the banking industry in the Hartford area for many years before her retirement. Besides her husband, she leaves two sons, Rafal Budnik and his wife Nicole Mulé of Manchester, and Marcin Budnik of Corona, CA; a daughter, Michelle Budnik of East Hartford; her granddaughter, Penelope Joy Budnik whom she adored; a sister, Krystyna Liman of Poland; a nephew, Jan Liman and his wife Gosia of Poland; and a brother and sister-in-law and their families. Her family will receive friends on Thursday, February 22, 5-8 p.m., at the Waszkelewicz South Green Memorial Home, 43 Wethersfield Ave., Hartford. A Mass of Christian Burial will be Celebrated on Friday, February 23, 10 a.m., at SS. Cyril & Methodius Church, 61 Popieluszko Court, Hartford. Burial will follow in Mt.
